The Global Greater Good - Now More Than Ever

Grab The Torch recognized the importance of preparing the next generation for their upcoming role and responsibility as volunteers, board and committee members and visionaries for the non-profit world long before the current economic crisis. There has never been a more critical time in our history to understand and support philanthropy and the global greater good than right now.

Philanthropy is not exclusive to the transfer of financial treasures. Giving the commodity of time, your core beliefs and sharing the inner fabric of your soul is the true meaning of philanthropy.

Grandparents and parents will transfer their knowledge, personal treasures, talent and life experiences, foundation positions, board seats and introductions to their colleges and universities. Their passion and financial support of non-profit and social organizations, politics, religious organizations, community programs and other affinities will be topics of conversation over dinner, at family gatherings, vacations and simple walks on the beach. We feel that we can deliver the common sense steps to prepare them for the passing of the torch.

The students need an understanding and foundation to prepare themselves for their upcoming role in society. It will be a road map for their future; a tool to guide, not to dictate. The students will take many directions, some following their families, some going 180 degrees due to personal affinities. We will encourage participation on any level. There are endless pieces of the greater good puzzle, each student holds a valuable role for the greater good.

This generation is the steward of the future; you’ve provided the torch, it’s up to them to grab it and keep it burning bright.

The question is not if the torch will be passed, the question is when it is passed, are you prepared to carry it into the future?
