The Network
Introductions
The students will be encouraged to support organizations that are true to their passions. They will be encouraged to maintain an independent thought process. The program will assist all organizations that are challenged with the ongoing question and concern of, “How will we attract our future supporters?” We have selected some organizations that have a regional base with a national mission, along with smaller organizations that rely on a more community base. We feel that smaller and regional organizations are more attractive to students. We can comfortably introduce the following organizations. We do not endorse any single non-profit organizations. Our charter is to be a vehicle for introduction only. The list will change. Additions will come from schools and the students.

"With special opportunities come special responsibilities. Let's ensure that students are prepared for that challenge with perspective, knowledge and experience. Grab The Torch is a wonderful program that will guide them through the process of understanding and appreciating the world of giving and philanthropy."
Duncan McCrann, President and COO, KIPP Houston
"Grab The Torch shares the vision, values, and effectiveness of our country's independent sector: Dave Aldrich has created a breakthrough service that both guides and challenges tomorrow's leaders... Today."
J. Michael Smiles, Chief Development Officer, The Hole In The Wall Gang Fund
"It is crucial that youth learn the opportunity, skills, and joy of freely caring for those in need. Grab the Torch offers our youth the chance to experience the root meaning of philanthropy as friendship love—nourishing others as the path to nourishing ourselves. A key question for the 21st century is how to use our personal resources as a tool for increasing the effectiveness and significance of others. Let the next generation Grab The Torch; but first let us fuel its flame through our support for this vital program."
Paul Schervish, Director, Wealth and Philanthropy Institute, Boston College
